Multimodal research data infrastructure
Supporting data organization for synchronized operator-behavior research.
My contribution
Organize simulator, video, gaze, digital joystick, and inertial streams for inspectable research analysis.
Preserve what each stream measures
The research combines simulator screen recordings, first-person and third-person video, gaze measurements, digital joystick signals, and joystick-mounted inertial measurements. Each stream has its own timing, availability, and interpretation constraints.
Readiness is a research dependency
The supporting brief records organized streams alongside unresolved timing and annotation work. A useful readiness view needs verified metadata for availability, clock alignment, usable intervals, exclusions, and reference labels. It should distinguish a recorded file from an aligned, analyzable session.
No completeness percentage or empirical coverage matrix is inferred here. Participant identifiers must support grouped evaluation without exposing private recordings. Downstream feature extraction and interpretation should preserve the source session and the decisions that made a segment usable.
Evaluation Scope & Methodology
Samples, denominators, uncertainty, sources and limits
Approach
Document stream availability and alignment from verified session metadata before presenting a coverage matrix.
Limitations
- Organized streams do not establish complete synchronization or annotation readiness.
- No verified coverage matrix or completeness percentage is supplied.
- Participant recordings, faces, voices, and raw traces are not approved public media.
